The anniversary special returns in glorious BD quality! Disclaimer: We did not encode this ourselves. The encode is from [Ignore], used with permission.
The special edition BD for this came with a storyboard book, which helpfully allowed us to pick out some background dialogue that was completely impossible to clearly make out in the CR version. Also, this thing had SO many animation tweaks for the BD. It's kind of insane, how this is already one of the most premium-looking One Piece animated projects ever, and yet what we saw in 2024 was still, apparently, NOT FINISHED.
...And yeah, the typeset at the start is a bit shoddy. In our defense, how were we ever to make that even remotely seamless?

Shame how the fact that it's been a year and a half since then, and she hasn't appeared on OP again since, but she HAS appeared doing, at the very least, the opening to the anime Witch Watch, probably means this was the final Ishitani Cinema we shall have. I'd love to be proven wrong of course, but for now I'm assuming those three and a half episodes + two openings + this special were all the Ishitani Cinema One Piece will ever get.
